Call for Papers

Reform and Development of China: Past, Present and Future

Date: 15th – 16th December, 2018
Venue: University of Macau, Macao

To mark the fortieth anniversary of economic reform, a workshop organized jointly by the Department of Economics, University of Macau and the School of Economics, Fudan University, intends to bring scholars to present their insights of the economic transformation of China over the preceding four decades.  The feature of this workshop will be its comprehensive coverage of key issues involved in China’s reform, including

·Reform from historical, institutional and global perspectives;

·National, regional and sectoral measures and progress of reform; 

·Experience and lesions of reform on long term development.

Planned keynote speakers:
·Zhang Jun, Dean of School of Economics, Fudan University,China
·Loren Brandt, Professor of University of Toronto, Canada

Submissions are now open with the following deadlines:

·7th September, 2018: detailed abstract
·14th September, 2018: notification of acceptance of paper
·15th – 16th December, 2018: workshop

Registration fees are not required for this workshop. For non-Macao paper presenters, local hospitality will be provided by the University of Macau during the workshop period.
