摘要： This paper investigates the importance of the determinants of income inequality across ages. The empirical results show that the importance of the determinants of income inequality not only differs much from the importance of the determinants on the overall Gini but also varies with age. This finding casts doubt on the robustness of previous empirical findings based on the overall Gini coefficient.
